Impact Designs
People who have stayed at the mission often find themselves needing to return. Impact Designs was founded in 2021 to directly address this issue. All guests who complete our Impact Shelter program are eligible for this service.
How Does It Work?
Guests who are moving out of shelter work to secure their own rentals, with the help of our housing coordinator. Meanwhile, our Impact Designs coordinator meets with the guests to ask what home means to them, discovering design preferences and practical needs for each person. Finally, mission staff and volunteer designers use donated household furnishings to transform entry-level, unfurnished rentals into warm and pleasant homes.
On move-in day, guests are so thankful for a place that is truly their own, designed with them in mind and ready for their fresh start. Impact Designs recipients also participate in an additional 12 months of case management.
More than 90% of the individuals and families helped by Impact Designs remain housed!
