Do you need help? Are you age 12-17? Don’t feel safe? Ran away from home? Family kicked you out? Tired of couch surfing?
Samaritan Youth Shelter offers short-term emergency shelter for up to 30 days to homeless youth ages 12 to 17 who have become isolated or separated from a place they can call home. Our staff also provides and coordinates access to local schools, counseling services, health care, vocational preparedness and other resources.
Founded in 2021, Samaritan Youth Shelter was developed in direct response to requests of local agencies working with youth. Until then, Bay and Arenac counties had no specialized facilities for homeless youth.
Our goal is to reunite families as soon as it is safe and appropriate for the youth.
